Why would I want to use Portable Restrooms?
There are many good reasons to make use of porta potties or portable toilet facilities, even if you already have a permanent restroom installation. For instance, in times when you have greater numbers of guests or attendees for your events, you may find that lineups at the restrooms are too long, and that guests are complaining. It’s also possible that the additional strain on your septic system causes unnecessary hassles. Whatever the reason, if you need additional washrooms on a short-term or regular basis, Porta Potty Rental can assist.
Where can Porta Potties be Placed?
When your porta potties are delivered, the driver will assist you with choosing a good location for your porta potties. Factors such as level ground, truck access for delivery and cleaning, and preventing damage are all taken in to consideration. The best areas for porta potties to be placed are areas of flat, sturdy ground that can support a lot of foot traffic.
What about Guests with Wheelchairs or Disabilities?
It’s important to have restrooms that are accessible and suitable for those with disabilities. Let Porta Potty Rental know about the size of your event and who you expect to attend, and we can assist with some information about wheelchair-accessible porta potties that are built to federal government specifications. According to the Americans with Disabilities act, at least 5% of your total restroom facilities on site should be wheelchair-accessible. Rest assured that even if nobody in a wheelchair shows up to your event, these larger porta potties will still be well used.
Are Porta Potties Suitable for Small Children?
Absolutely! However, it’s important to remember that not all porta potty structures can facilitate having a child and a parent in them at the same time, due to size. For events that will have a large number of children, we suggest including more of our wheelchair-accessible porta potties, as they are larger in size and can accommodate a parent and child with room to spare. Let us know if you’re having an event where you expect a lot of kids and we’ll share some tips and advice.
How do we Keep the Porta Potties Clean throughout the Event?
Keeping your restroom facilities clean can be a huge chore, and of course it’s not one that many people are going to quickly volunteer to take on. If you don’t have staff members that are responsible for attending the washrooms, let us know. It’s possible that we will have staff that can take care of this, or we can point you in the right direction.
Are there Seasonal or Weather Issues with using Porta Potties?
Aside from freezing your buns off while using the porta potty, there are few weather related issues that you need to be aware of. If your portable toilets or washing stations make use of running water, then low temperatures will certainly be an issue as the water can freeze. This can be avoided by using a salt-water mix, which is something we can discuss if you will be using the porta potties through the winter, or at cold events. If you require your porta potties to be fully functional over the winter season, let us know and we will consult with you to determine the best approach.
If you have other questions that we haven’t answered here in the FAQ, please do not hesitate to give the team a call at 800-900-1084 or visit our contact page and we’ll have someone get back to you promptly. Thanks!
